Expertise & Experience
Shantel is a Landscape Ecologist and GIS Specialist. She has over 15 years of academic and professional experience in the areas of GIS, spatial ecology, spatial analysis, and conservation biology.
Her spatial and statistical analysis skills are “off-the-chart” and she frequently uses words or phrases like “spatial autocorrelation,” “multivariate,” “Resource Selection Function,” and “Poisson regression.”
She regularly works with ridiculously large spatial and non-spatial datasets, which has given her exceptional data management and data quality assurance skills. She also has a strong background in experimental design, habitat modelling, and biodiversity monitoring.
