Tracking Workshops

Snow Tracking: An Online Introduction – December 08, 2026

2-hours | December 8th, 2026 | Online

Snow reveals a remarkable record of wildlife activity, but learning to read that record takes more than simply recognizing footprints. This online introduction explores the fundamentals of snow tracking, including how snow conditions influence tracks, how animals move and leave patterns across the landscape, and how trackers use both track morphology and movement patterns to identify species.

Designed for beginners and those looking to strengthen their tracking foundations, this session will introduce a systematic approach to observing, interpreting, and identifying wildlife tracks in snow.ts will reduce their dependance on footprint features to confidently match track makers to species.

The workshop will be delivered via Zoom, and a link will be sent out to registrants shortly before the event. A recording of the workshop will be made available to registrants for three months.
